Dominque Roberts, former nuclear weapons technician for the United States Air Force, realized their true calling after attending one of many appointments with the Veterans Affairs (VA) office. Dominique wanted to create custom, electronically aided, active prosthetics for other disabled veterans. “I aim to create the prosthetics to be suited to people’s specific needs and match their lifestyles,” explained Dominique. “This isn’t necessarily a niche the VA is suited, or designed, to meet.” Dominique plans to achieve this goal by attending Logan University to earn their Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree. Logan University has selected Brian McAulay, DC, PhD, as Logan’s new Vice President of Academic Affairs. Dr. McAulay comes to Logan from South University in Savannah, Georgia, where he served as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for a seven-campus system. Dr. McAulay’s career has spanned three decades, with experience including senior leadership roles in both professional and chiropractic institutions of higher education. Logan University broke ground on the Fuhr Science Center on its campus in Chesterfield, Missouri, yesterday and construction is officially underway.
